I get an error 'VitalQuest is unable to connect to database. Please contact the representative'? |

(Error reported by Windows users) This error occurs when you double click on the icon more than once while starting VitalQuest. Double click only once on the icon and wait for the program to open. To solve this error observe the following 2 steps. Step 1 - Go to 'Task manager' by the command on keyboard (Ctrl + Alt + Del) or Right click on the Task bar and select Task Manager
- Please click on the button 'Processes'
- Look out for file 'javaw.exe' as shown below
 - Select and click the button' End process'. (If you find more than one file with the same name 'javaw.exe', select all of them one by one and click 'End process'
- Also if you find any file with the name 'VitalQuest.exe' - Select it and click 'End process'.
Step 2 - Go to Vital Quest folder
(In Windows operating system - C:\Program Files\VitalQuest) - In the Vital Quest folder locate the folder 'hsqlinmem'. Copy this folder and Paste it somewhere else (may be desktop or some other drive as backup).
- In your installation CD, you will see a folder 'hsqlinmem' . Copy this folder and paste it in the Vital Quest folder.
- Now open the software by a double click on the VitalQuest icon. This should solve your problem.
